Réaliser un test utilisateur consiste à recréer des situations types, afin d'évaluer le niveau de convivialité d'un site web. Elle consiste donc en une analyse du niveau d'accessibilité, réalisée par des utilisateurs en situation de handicap qui reproduisent des tâches sur l'outil TIC évalué, sous la supervision d'un expert en accessibilité. A l'issue de l'évaluation, un retour qualitatif de l'expérience utilisateur est donné sous la forme d'un rapport.

Following the completion of the activities by staff members The RFU administers the questionnaire on the twelve factors relevant to the accessibility/usability of the website produced by AGID. The RFU carries out a semi-structured interview with the collaborators aimed at exploring the user experience.

Il est toujours recommandé d'effectuer un test utilisateur, afin de recevoir les réactions des utilisateurs finaux des services créés. Lorsqu'un test utilisateur n'est pas réalisé par un utilisateur en situation de handicap, il est qualifié "d'heuristique". Une évaluation heuristique de la convivialité doit être réalisée par un expert qui connaît les points de contact nécessaires pour effectuer une analyse correcte.
